Thursday Update

We’re nearing the end of the week, and moving into a very special season for many of us. It’s a season of faith, faithfulness, and sacrifice. Those are words I know are meaningful to all of us. And the meaning is magnified now as we face an unprecedented challenge.

But, I’m proud to say we’re facing it together.

AccentCare is always at its best when we work together. We hire the best and brightest, and we create collaborative social operating environments. We talk, we sense, we’re collegial, and we’re responsive. Our managerial interconnectedness has been a winning formula for AccentCare for many years, and is one of our key success accelerators. In a matter of weeks, we’ve deployed over 90% of our office teams to their homes. It’s essential to all of you and AccentCare, too, that we continue to foster togetherness. To do that, we’re looking at some new tools to make communication and connection as close to normal as can be in these anything-but normal times. More to come about that next week.

On Thursdays, I always do something a little extra. My weekly video message is a chance for you to hear my words as opposed to just seeing them. It connects us. This week, as I was thinking about what I wanted to share with you, I reflected on moments in my life of faith, mission, and things we can do together to make AccentCare stronger than a virus, or fear… I hope you’ll take the time to watch, and as always, I appreciate your feedback.

I’ll end today’s message with something I just hint at in tonight’s video. Thanks to those of you who have offered to make cloth masks. Having those available really helps us conserve PPE for the patient encounters that truly require the extra resources. We do need more cloth masks, though, and so if you’d be willing to help assemble masks, please send an email to, and we will get you the information you need to help us.

We’ll talk again tomorrow.
