AccentCare Introduces New Virtual Visit Applications

Oct. 20, 2020 (DALLAS, TX )— AccentCare, Inc., a leading post-acute care company, based in Dallas, Texas has released two new virtual visit applications, developed in exclusive partnership with health care technology leader, Synzi. The apps, MyCareTeam and MyPatient, available on Apple and Google Play, are respectively designed for patients and clinicians to further the use of telehealth and the advancement of remote care in the home setting.

“These applications are a testament to our company’s commitment to innovation in-home care,” said Steve Rodgers, AccentCare CEO, “and to address the growing need for seniors to have quality care in the home setting.”

COVID-19 has helped the industry recognize the value of telehealth, not only for limiting clinician and patient exposure during home visits but also to enable more expedient discharge of patients to home from hospitals or other facility settings. Additionally, unplanned home “visits” can be quickly conducted to assess a patient’s immediate need and physicians can virtually participate in AccentCare programs designed to accommodate advanced care at home.

AccentCare began its relationship with Synzi in November 2018, initially using virtual visits to enable nurses making routine home visits in Mississippi to have real-time virtual consultations with their certified wound care nurses. The value to patients recovering with surgical wounds or diabetic complications was immediately obvious. However, it was quickly realized virtual visits would play a much broader role in home health.

“We have a long relationship with AccentCare,” said Synzi CEO, Lee Horner. “Our shared vision, of using HIPAA-compliant technology to better and securely connect patients to home health care, benefits seniors as well as their community health care providers and family caregivers.”

AccentCare is committed to the use of telehealth, including virtual visits as well as remote monitoring of biometrics. The company strives for innovation that accommodates needs and preferences for quality clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
