Astros All-Star outfielder Kyle Tucker, by way of the Kyle Tucker Foundation, donated a $10,000 check to the Seasons Hospice Foundation last Monday in Tampa, Florida. Tucker was born and raised in Tampa, and Seasons Hospice, now known as Accentcare, took care of Tucker’s grandfather in the late moments of his life. To honor his grandfather’s life, the $10,000 check was dated Oct. 23, the anniversary of the day Tucker’s grandfather passed. Kyle Tucker hand-delivered the check to Seasons Hospice, the first donation Tucker’s foundation has given.

The Kyle Tucker Foundation was established to “support and raise awareness for Hospice care” by Kyle and his family. The foundation posted a statement on social media saying that “The Tucker family couldn’t be more grateful for the end-of-life care he received with Seasons Hospice.”

The Seasons Hospice Foundation has expressed appreciation for the gift, which it says will allow it to “say yes to more programs,” such as “expanding bereavement camps for children,” “providing clinical teams with stethoscopes to record patients’ heartbeats for loved ones to hold on to,” and “giving patients a virtual reality experience.”

Tucker is one of many Astros giving back to the Houston community and other communities all over the country. The outfielder put up an excellent 2022 season, batting .257 with 30 home runs and 107 RBI en route to the Astros’ World Series Championship.
